Job Description The position will evaluate bills of material for new customer orders and assist the organization with component level engineering support. Essential Functions: Transfer bills of material into MRP system Provide engineering, purchasing, and receiving inspection with component substitution support Maintain master component database Review customer specified parts to eliminate problems for purchasing Process engineering changes Resolve discrepancy reports for component level issues Assist Purchasing to resolve component level technical issues; Maintain accurate, current revision levels on engineering drawings and parts lists. Enter new Item Masters, Bills of Material (BOM) and Bills of Operations (BOO) as required. Identify irregularities and prepare exception report for appropriate departments (e.g., purchasing, production) and customer review Provide technical support and interact with Engineers, Buyers, Receiving Inspection, and others. Required Skills Familiarity with electronic components and component part numbering Ability to write and speak effectively with employees at all levels in the organization Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability People skills - customer oriented, positive attitude, team participation, problem solver Detail oriented with attention to accuracy Computer skills; thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
