Project Engineer Rockford Corporation www.rockfordak.com The Project Engineer’s primary duty is to provide the necessary technical and engineering support for the Project Management team to create, manage and distribute various required deliverables and information to the owner on any given construction project. Typically responsible for the creation, tracking and generation of a wide variety of project documentation, the Project Engineer must be an active participant and share the responsibility with the Project Team for planning, managing and implementing the following functions: •Construction Document Control •Technical Submittal Preparation, Review, and Coordination •Construction Scheduling •Material Takeoffs & Purchasing •Image And External Relations •Core Values As an integral member of the Project Team the Project Engineer must provide detailed, accurate and timely project information to the Project Management Teams to provide the basis for sound project execution decision making. Required Skills: •Read Construction Drawings •Read and Understand contract specifications. •Read & Interpret Contracts •Prepare, Review and Process submittals. •Material Takeoffs •Draft Purchase Orders & Subcontracts •Utilize spreadsheets and other software for tracking documents, costs and schedules. •Utilize Scheduleing Software •Clearly communicate in written and verbal english. •Communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors and other Rockford employees •Additional duties as assigned by the Project Team. Image And External Relations: •Promote Rockford’s reputation as a respected member of the community. •Participate effectively in representing Rockford at functions outside the corporation. •Maintain strong relationships with client, subcontractor, architect and design consultants.
