We provide expertise to our clients in the areas of architecture, engineering, surveying, and planning using state-of-the art technology. We specialize in designing projects for harsh climates and extreme environmental conditions - from the frozen Arctic to the arid southwestern desert.
We need someone to manage projects and clients successfully, producing profitable results, and positive client relations. Possess strong team leadership abilities and be able to communicate well with clients, staff and management. In collaboration with business development, this position will take a leadership role in winning and performing new work primarily with federal clients. Strong project management skills will be necessary to manage multiple projects that require coordination of several design disciplines at multiple locations; be knowledgeable of Earned Value Management systems to report project progress. Successful candidate will be required to review and edit AIA, EJCDC and DBIA contract documents; be knowledgeable of federal contract documents; have a working knowledge of and be able to apply appropriate building codes; and assemble project specifications from available national standards. Be very familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulations and other supporting systems and standards applicable to winning and executing federal design projects. Establish relationships with local and regional agencies and companies that support an annual sales goal established during yearly budget preparation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a building related engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, or structural), or architecture.
Professional Registration: Professional Engineer or Registered Architect in the state of Washington required (or ability to obtain within 6 months). Registration in the state of California desired (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
PMP Certification required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
10 years of Project Management Experience; 5 years minimum & recent with federal clients.
Strong Client Relations Skills.
Alternate Design/Build, Construction Management, Design, Bid, Construct project
delivery systems experience.
Understanding of project cost accounting systems and monitoring tools.
Minimum 15 years experience in Design and Construction projects primarily in the U.S.
Overview knowledge and working experience with MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Project and Outlook required.
BIM experience desired.
