THIS PROCESS CAN TAKE UP TO 2 WEEKS Electrical engineer Job Duties: Engineer, design and maintain installation of electrical, instrumentation and automation system associated with processing plants, gas compression facilities, mining facilities and other related areas. This position will be focused on the design, specification, and procurement of control systems, low voltage switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency drives. Engineering of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel design, PLC and HMI hardware and programming software. Will troubleshoot circuit and/or design problems. Will follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job under minimal supervision. Must be willing to travel up to 50%. Education Requirements: Masters Degree in electrical engineering Internship experience in PLC programming Key Competencies/ Skill Set: Demonstrated competency in electronic engineering including engineering principles, practices and procedures. Demonstrable ability in the following: Programming Allen-Bradley PLC's; Programming skills in C, VB and Matlab; Operation of various power, voltage and current measurement equipment via test instruments and hand tools; Analysis and solving complex problems; Use of Graphic Tools - Autocad and Intellution Ifix; Microsoft Office programs; Reading and understanding electrical schematics and drawings; Effectively communicating orally and in writing. Demonstrable knowledge of the following: RSLinx, RSNetworx, and RSLogix Software Tools; DeviceNet, ControlNet and TCP/IP Protocols; PLC ladder logic, digital and sequential logic programming methods, and process related closed-loop control systems; The National Electrical Code; API codes as applied to electrical installations. Work Conditions Working on-site in heavy industrial environments mostly but not limited to mining and gas industries. These environments may have the following conditions: Extreme temperature conditions, both hot and cold; in and/or around moisture; on slippery and/or uneven surfaces, in confined spaces; and at heights. Hours of operation and employee schedules vary based off each project and may require irregular or extended hour and travel for project completion. Travel includes both surrounding states and international travel. Will require frequent standing, occasional bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, balancing and reaching Will have exposure to noise, vibrations, well-treating chemicals, glycol, methanol, gasoline, natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons Will often work alone with minimum supervision Location: Arizona Compensation: 56K-100K based on experience Principals only.
