The position description is as follows: This role contributes to the overall financial success of the company by accurately defining and analyzing the requirements for development of our products. Position Responsibilities This position is responsible for gathering the requirements from the business, translating those requirements into a functional design, and validating that the ultimate solution fulfills the business requirements. The role is also responsible for facilitating requirements gathering sessions with the business as well as design sessions with the Development team. Requirements: Specific Accountabilities 1. Facilitates sessions with internal and/or external stakeholders to gather functional requirements 2. Discovers, analyzes, synthesizes and documents information needs for both analytical and decision support and operational reporting and monitoring 3. Participates in the definition of a project's scope 4. Translates functional requirements into requirements that will be used by the Development team 5. Facilitates sessions with the stakeholders to validate the functional design of the solution 6. Represents the interests of the stakeholders in the technical design process 7. Works with the Quality Assurance to develop the System Test Plan 8. Develops components of the User Acceptance Test Plan 9. Executes components of the User Acceptance Process Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements gathering and design sessions 2. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally 3. Experience creating functional designs for gaming solutions 4. Experience designing metrics for gaming solutions 5. Experience designing User Acceptance Test Plans 6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships 7. Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Suite of Desktop applications Education and Experience 1. Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering or Business Administration plus 5 – 7 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in the gaming industry or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
