Duties & Responsibilities • Responsibilities include interaction and negotiation with the Architect, Owner and General Contractor • Review and analyze architectural drawings and specifications, proposals, and identify the glass and glazing scope of work. • Complete a material take-off and solicit pricing from the appropriate manufacturers. • Prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. • Determine all labor necessary to fabricate and install the materials required for the glass and glazing scope of work. • Provide written proposals to general contractors. • Follow-up on all proposals. Minimum Job Requirements • A minimum of five (5) years commercial estimating background in storefront and curtain wall. Knowledge of point supported systems is a plus. • Be able to demonstrate competency in estimating and successful execution of assigned projects. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required • Excellent organizational skills • Strong computer software skills. Must be fluent in Microsoft word, excel and outlook. • Knowledgeable of and familiar with project/construction management software. • Ability to read and understood construction documents including project plans, specifications, proposals and shop drawings.
