Job Description: 1. Perform/review field surveys, design, layout and engineering investigations necessary for construction and maintenance for project planning; 2. Determines project suitability/feasibility, develops cost estimates and recommends alternative solutions; 3. Survey construction projects and road alignments; 4. Prepares and/or reviews engineering plans and drawings to ensure technical adequacy and compliance with applicable construction and safety codees; Furnishes design computations, specifications and estimates for final design and/or approval; 5. Provide technical engineering assistance to Field Office staff that may include review of and recommendations for activities by private individuals and/or other agencies under application for permit on public lands, including surface protection and compliance. Requirements: 1. Must have at least 3 years direct experience as an engineering technician 2. Working knowledge of standard engineering software; 3. Degree in engineering from an accreditted school; 4. Must have a clean record - No DUIs, misdemeanors or felonies going back to age 18; 5. Must have reliable transportation.
