We are currently looking for an experienced Software Engineer to be part of our Game Core team. This position will be key in designing and developing new functionality for innovative games. Review, interpret, and execute software requirements and specifications. Troubleshoot and debug software defects. Duties • Utilizes technical knowledge to write and complete software tasks and projects • Tests, integrates, writes, troubleshoots, and debugs software applications • Responsible for critical software components and games; uses company standards and applies design principals and patterns to develop robust software • Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: * Responsible for creating high quality code and following corporate guidelines of coding standards. * Test, debug and revise code, including profiling, performance analysis and performance tuning as necessary. * Responsible for documentation of gained knowledge regarding procedures, processes, pipelines, tools, etc. * Develop expertise on our embedded Linux gaming platform. * Develop expertise in our game development library code base so that you can contribute to the ongoing design and additional functionality improvements. * Complete work in a timely manner. * Work well on individual tasks, but within a team environment. * Work independently with supervision varying with the task at hand. * Report to Game Core Manager for day-to-day tasks. Requirements: * Strong working knowledge in C++. * Strong working knowledge in Linux or Unix operating systems. * Should be familiar with general software development tools. * BSCS, BSCE, BSEET, BSEE or related field. * Ability to work in a cross platform environment. (Windows XP and Linux) * Passion for playing games is a plus. * Must be able to obtain and hold a Nevada Gaming Card.
