Full time, fully benefited position. Experienced Baker needed for a healthcare kitchen. You will produce a wide variety of baked goods for patient services, a busy food court, and catering. Scratch experience is a must. Sunday through Thursday, late nights. Must be self motivated, excellent work ethic and high producer. SUMMARY: This position produces a wide variety of bakery goods. ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Prepares and produces a wide variety of bakery products in a general food service area. Completes pastry preparations including mixing, baking, and frying as is needed. • Prepares and produces such bakery and specialty products as pastries, bread, rolls, biscuits, and may also prepare cakes, pies, muffins, breads, puddings, parfaits, frosting, cookies, rolls, etc. • Periodically checks and adjusts bakery production records or sheets. • Completes any order sheets needed for catering and food court. • Coordinates with kitchen manager for ordering products or completing inventories. • Adheres to proper sanitation, safety, and operational procedures for assigned area. Cleans personal work area. • Other related duties may also be assigned. • May be designated as a Day, Night, Relief Baker, etc. depending on assigned shift. • May also assume duties as a Cook, or other food service position (refer to the appropriate description for any details). THIS POSITION REQUIRES: At least two years of directly related vocational training (candidates without such training need two additional years of related experience) At least three years of directly related cooking experience which demonstrates a working knowledge of baking techniques, general food production, food service production, food service positions, equipment, and supervisory techniques. Some positions will give preference to those candidates with safe serve certification. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
