Hi everybody! My name is Jenny, and I'm a 24 year old preschool teacher. My boyfriend Steve is 28 years old and works full-time at Stop & Shop. We have two cats, Mango and Reggie, who are both vaccinated, neutered, and house-broken. Oh, and cute and fat and whiny. We are looking to split a 3-bed apartment with other fun folks such as yourselves. Our move-in date is September 1 (I know, the dreaded September Stampede), and our budget for our portion of the rent is $900/month or less, or $1000 with all utilities. WE WILL PAY THE LARGEST SHARE OF THE RENT AND UTILITIES because we are two people and we have enough furniture between us to outfit all the common areas ourselves. That means cheaper rent and utilities and a furnished apartment for you - cool beans, right? We have a strong preference for Jamaica Plain, but we'll look in other areas nearby if the situation is right. We need to be close to either the Orange Line or a direct bus route to Forest Hills such as the 39. A little about us: we have been dating for more than a year and we never, ever fight (really!). So, no drama and awkwardness for y'all. We are both very laid-back, easygoing, fun-loving people, and we pay our rent faithfully and clean up after ourselves. I am more of a quirky, chatty, nerdy foreign-film type, whereas Steve is more of a quiet but funny, "whatever, sounds good to me" kind of guy. We are both respectful and exclusively OUTDOOR smokers. A little about you, our potential roommate(s): you are ages 21-30, and any gender or sexual orientation is cool. You are friendly and sociable and like to let your hair down on the weekends, but not a frat boy/girl who's going to trash the place. We don't have to be best friends, but you like to kick back with us over a beer and a movie sometimes. Due to my job, I cannot put myself into a situation that might cause me to fail a CORI check in the future, so if you're 420 friendly we can't live with you (sorry, no offense!). It would also help if you like our cats but don't have any pets of your own, since our future landlord probably won't want the whole Noah's Ark experience. That's about it, I guess.
