Hello! I'll be a graduate student at Northeastern in the fall (go Huskies!), and I'm looking for a room I can move into on, or shortly before, September 1st. I'd like to find a place close to campus, perhaps Jamaica Plain area, but I'll be happy to find anything near an Orange line T stop. Most importantly, I'd prefer something in my budget - max of 500-600 in rent and then up to 150 in utilities at their highest, however something lower would be better :) Safety is also important to me, and I plan on getting renters insurance and perhaps an alarm system. Some things about me: I'm in my early 20s, non-smoker, lesbian. I'm not a big drinker, but I am a wine enthusiast. I'm currently located, and have resided, in Detroit MI for the past few years for school. I love to bike, cook, and watch movies. I have a weakness for science fiction. While I could say that I read a lot, its mainly textbooks for my studies. I plan on living in Boston for at least the next 5 years. What I'm looking for in a roommate(s): I believe I'd be most compatible living with other students or young professionals, responsible individuals who are looking for someone that pays the bills on time. For health reasons, I'd prefer non-smokers, or people willing to smoke outside the residence. I don't mind pets, although I don't own any myself and I do have dog allergies. I'm a very friendly and tolerant person, and I'd look forward to getting to know my roommate(s) and maybe watching a movie from time to time. However, with the 60 hr work weeks expected of me come September, I will be cherishing my quiet time :) Its a full 24-hr bus ride from Detroit to Boston, so even if you think I'm a perfect match, I can't come out to visit your place right away. I'm planning a week trip to Boston beginning of June, just to look at places. Please send me an email (preferably with pictures or descriptions) if you have a place for September. I'd love to be able to talk over the phone to sort out details and ask/answer questions. Thank you for looking! Thanks for looking! cats are OK - purrr it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests mass
