This positions primary responsibility will involve Financial, IT, Performance, and Attestation auditing and is located in the Office of Internal Review for Idaho Transportation Department.
Preferred candidates will have experience in auditing financial activities/systems, performance/operations, internal controls, and information technology systems.
Typical starting salary for this position is $22.68 per hour, and may increase up to $30.24 depending on auditing experience.
Responsibilities:
Performs financial duties requiring advanced professional accounting/auditing skills.
Conducts complex internal and external financial, compliance, operational, and performance audits.
Oversees and develops an audit program integrating national professional accounting and auditing standards and other rules and laws.
Provides technical guidance and assistance to management, staff and external customers in accounting and auditing matters;
Prepares and presents final audit report and documentation, summarizes scope, issues needing resolution and opinions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Good knowledge of: accounting principles and practices; supervisory practices.
Experience:
Using personal computers to develop, analyze, and report on performance and financial data;
Monitoring/reviewing internal management controls;
Resolving technical accounting, auditing, and/or budgeting problems;
Preparing financial documents for management review;
Analyzing business activities and recommending or implementing management actions.
