Internship Description and Responsibilities:Dozens of businesses around town accept up to 5 gallons of used motor oil from San Francisco residents. The intern will assist in a) encouraging used oil collection center managers to maintain center accessibility and increase the ease of use of the recycling program so that we may meet the needs of the DIYer public (Do-It-Yourselfer motor oil changers), and b) maintain positive and consistent communication with the managers of used motor oil collection centers. In addition, the intern will organize a Collection Center Summit that brings together the managers of used motor oil/filter collection sites in SF. The purpose is to increase communication with used motor oil collection site managers, request feedback on participation in the statewide program, and create a forum in which they feel free to make suggestions that will enhance the used motor oil-recycling program. The intern will work in the office, but there will be tasks that can be completed at home, such as web searches, letter writing, and phone calls required to organize an event. Intern Qualifications: Outgoing, well-spoken, interest in household hazardous waste recycling, positive and engaging phone manner, experience in web searches.   Location: Las Vegas Compensation: $15.84-$39.42 per hour This is a part-time job.
