ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Program and Administrative Support * Create, update, and convert PowerPoint, Word, and Excel documents as needed to support Division obligations as assigned; maintain electronic copies in appropriate Division shared drive folders * Research and assess documents available from internet, other agencies, and other resources to support creation or maintenance of policy positions or initiatives undertaken by Director?s Office * Review and draft program documents as needed * Create and maintain Gantt charts outlining key milestones for assigned projects * Review documents and products in assigned areas of responsibility for consistency with guidance and relevant program objectives * Perform general office duties such as filing, copying, and faxing * Meeting Planning and Coordination * Schedule and arrange meetings locally and offsite * Schedule appropriate logistics including virtual teleconference (VTC) and teleconferences * Generate meeting minutes on timely basis * Serve as liaison and reliable resource on Division policies, programs, and initiatives to other Division Offices, Directorate Offices, and other government agencies in areas of assigned responsibility * Perform routine related tasks REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) * Demonstrates attention to detail * Demonstrates self-initiative to complete the job and associated work products correctly, thoroughly, and efficiently * Capacity to multi-task and respond to requests that require quick turn-around * Strong skills in time management and ability to work independently * Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, written, and organizational skills * Competence to function efficiently in a high-paced, demanding work environment * Ability to plan individual efforts and follow through to completion * Demonstrates superior customer service skills * Flexible and readily adaptable to change; including changes in processes, requirements, and priorities EDUCATION: Master?s degree in the chemical or biological sciences preferred; Bachelor?s degree in similar field with appropriate months? relevant experience in lieu of Master?s degree considered. EXPERIENCE: Two months relevant job experience
Location: Las Vegas
Compensation: 15.97-33.76 per hour plus benefits
