The City of Caldwell, Idaho has an opening for a Public Works Director. This is an appointed position serving at the pleasure of the Mayor and City Council. Successful candidate needs to be well versed in public works and engineering administration, policy, public application, and public relation activities. Individual acts as the City Engineer and plans, directs, manages, and coordinates the City's Engineering, Building, Street, Water, Street Lighting, Solid Wastes, Irrigation, Parks, Cemetery, Mapping, and Airport programs and activities. Must possess good interpersonal skills and demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to facilitate and gain consensus through collaboration, guidance and leadership. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with other City employees and the general public. Possession or ability to obtain a current and valid Idaho Driver's License and subject to a pre-employment drug test and background check. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or other related field; Extensive experience in public works engineering, operations and management; Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Idaho.
