MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education, Training, and Work Experience
Graduation from high school, trade school or vocational school supplemented by course work in electronics, plus four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical field, with at least two (2) years of experience directly related to fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment, OR and equivalent combination of closely related training and experience. A working knowledge of PLC systems and programming is required. A strong background troubleshooting process instrumentation and control systems are required. Knowledge and training in electrical safety is required. A strong aptitude for math is also required. Experience with water and wastewater supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems is preferred. Experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in water and wastewater treatment and pumping facilities is preferred.
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certificates
Possession of or the ability to obtain an appropriate driver’s license from state of residence and maintain an excellent driving record. Must obtain a Journeyman level electrical certificate within six (6) months of the date of employment and maintenance of certification at own expense as a condition of continued employment. All required licenses and certificates, as mandated by local, state, and federal laws, or as required herein, must be obtained and maintained at the incumbent’s expense. Must be able to work during non-working hours as needed to handle emergency situations. Subject to 24-hour emergency call-out and may require working overtime, varying hours, weekend and holidays.
