? Work with the Park Manager and Director to set priorities and goals and implement and update strategic plans. ? Develop and implement Trailside policies, interpretation, volunteer programs, and exhibits. ? Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate lower level staff, interns, and volunteers. ? Plan, schedule, and monitor Trailside work assignments. ? Perform administrative functions, including but not limited to the management of annual budgets and donated funds. ? Effectively communicate policies, organizational objectives, and facility standards to employees. ? Oversee Trailside compliance with all State and Federal regulations and permits related to operation and maintenance of the facility. ? Work with the Palisades Interstate Park Commission development staff to secure public and private funding to support Trailside initiatives. ? Establish and maintain a satisfactory relationship with the park?s contracted veterinarian and ensure that the zoo?s animals are properly cared for.
