Our Pacific Northwest Regional Blood Services whole blood collections team is seeking a flexible and organized Collection Operations Supervisor to lead staff and support mobile blood drive operations throughout Central Oregon. Job Details: --Responsible for supervision of five to twenty line staff on a daily basis: ensure appropriate donor care and the collection of safe units of blood, assist with hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline, and provide and document performance feedback for any staff assigned to current operation. --Plan, organize, manage and direct all aspects of blood collection operations (fixed site or mobile) to ensure appropriate staffing and a smooth and efficient process. --Perform clerical administrative functions to provide documentation and ensure donor/recipient safety and to monitor staff competency. --Effectively balance production, customer service and compliance on a daily basis, ensuring integrity of operation -- Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Qualifications: Two years of Collections Operations or previous supervision preferred, effective verbal communication and public relations skills are required. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and coaching skills. Successful candidates must have scheduling flexibility: hours vary daily (weekdays and weekends) and availability for approx 6-10 nights of overnight travel per month is required. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required. Experience in a regulated, medical and/or union environment preferred. Bilingual skills a plus! This is an exempt position requiring the ability to work any day of the week on a flexible schedule.
