INTAKE COORDINATOR Home Care Agency RN or LPN The Intake Coordinator is contacted by referring physician or Agency and ensures all referrals are processed in a detailed manner. Intake Coordinator ensures nursing and therapy needs are communicated to the Nursing and Therapy Managers regarding assignments. Intake Coordinator will assign nursing and physical therapy staff to appropriate clients under the direction of the Nursing and Therapy Managers. Communicates effectively with all staff to promote quality care. Manages lab results with appropriate physician and patient communication. Verifies insurance coverage for services as needed to ensure ordered care is reimbursed as approved including DME. Must be personable and able to effectively communicate with patients, staff, physicians, insurers, etc. Must work cooperatively with supervisory and all team members. Answers telephone and assist team members, case managers, discharge planners, etc., in solving problems. Full-Time Monday-Friday 9am-5pm Comprehensive Benefits Education Experience Must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing and carry current nursing licensure in Rhode Island. Must have at least four years of nursing experience with two in homecare. Experience in computer, insurance case management, and office management. Knowledge of Medicare, private insurance, Medicaid, and other regulatory and documentation requirements for coverage of services necessary.
