Seeking a very experienced Male Direct Care Worker for after school hours. Northeast Behavioral Associates, located in Cranston, Rhode Island, is in search of dedicated, outgoing, enthusiastic, hard-working, creative, intelligent people to join our Home Based Specialized Treatment Services program as a Home Based Treatment Worker. Northeast Behavioral Associates services families throughout Rhode Island who are in need of assistance; our methods are goal oriented and action centered, and our proven techniques are used to maximize clients' abilities to reach his/her fullest potential. HBT Worker Job Description: The Home Based Treatment Worker will be responsible for providing intensive treatment in the home and/or the community to children with developmental, emotional, social, and/or physical difficulties, implementing the child's individualized treatment plan, collecting data in response to interventions for each treatment goal and objective, participating in supervision meetings, and participating in child specific orientation and group training. The HBT Worker will become Crisis Prevention and Intervention and CPR certified. The HBT worker is expected to be able to express verbally, and in writing, the methods used in treatment, the reasons and relevance of interventions used in treatment, and a daily note describing the interventions used on that particular day. The HBT Worker is expected to be able to uphold a level of professionalism and maturity, and must be punctual, reliable, and consistent. Requirements: An eligible candidate shall: be at least 19 years old with a high school degree or equivalent, have a driver's license in good standing, have up to date insurance and registration, daily access to a vehicle, and will be able to pass a BCI and CANTS check. In addition, an eligible candidate will: 1. Have a minimum of two years of supervised experience working with children with special health care needs or, 2. Have an Associates Degree in Human Services (i.e. psychology, counseling, child development, education, nursing, and etc.) or, 3. Be currently enrolled in not less than six semester hours of relevant undergraduate coursework at an accredited college or university or, 4. Demonstrate competence to work with children with special health care needs or, 5. Have at least 2-3 years experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. Compensation and Hours: An HBT Worker will initially earn $12 per hour, with the opportunity for a performance based review and a potential raise up to $14 per hour after 3 months of employment. This is a part-time position and the shift occurs primarily during afternoon and evening hours.
