The Bend, Oregon National Guard Unit has an opening for an HR Specialist. You will be required to enlist in the National Guard and join the local Cavalry unit at their headquarters in downtown Bend. This is a great way to get your foot in the door to join the Human Resouces Field. Other positions include Signal Support Systems Specialist, Paralegal, Intelligence Analyst, LAN Manager, and Logistics Specialist. While these positions are part time (one weekend a month and two full weeks a year) the National Guard can entirely pay for your college, retrain into a different career field, help repay your student loans, and give you some significant job experience.
