Position Summary
As a member of the Human Resources (HR) Team, the Human Resource Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the HR Department and related programs, policies and procedures for Fiserv Insurance Solutions, Inc. Flood Division. The position acts as a liaison between employees, management and the corporate office in resolving various issues. The Human Resource Manager also provides consultative services for management of the Flood Division. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Fiserv Insurance Solutions, Inc. with a dotted reporting relationship to the President of the Flood Division.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the SVP HR the Human Resource Manager performs the following essential functions in managing the day-to-day Human Resource operations of the Flood Division:
Oversee the Human Resource Information Systems and payroll to include timely and accurate submission of new hire data, transfers and salary changes and terminations.
Manage recruitment efforts to include the facilitation of targeted recruitment processes.
In partnership with management, resolves complex employee problems in accordance with Fiserv Insurance Solutions and Flood Division policies and procedures.
Investigate employee complaints and recommend resolution.
Conduct internal Investigations of employee complaints providing a report and recommendations to the SVP HR, and Flood Division Management.
Respond promptly and accurately to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
Consult with management regarding the development of job descriptions, the appropriate mapping to benchmark and placement within salary range.
Insure processes of Affirmative Action Plans and other equal opportunity initiatives are followed at the Division level.
Assist HR Generalists with complex HR issues.
Utilize analytical abilities to provide Flood Division with timely status regarding employee trends in the area of retention and overall employee engagement.
Participates and provides guidance in Flood Division strategic planning process.
Position is an active and contributing member of the Fiserv Insurance Solutions HR Team.
Provide management training at the Flood Division level in such areas as performance management, progressive discipline and salary administration.
Generate various reports and analysis as requested
Provide leadership in specific functional areas for Fiserv Insurance Solutions
Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education/Certification/License/Training
Ø 4 year degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
Ø PHR Certification is preferred.
Ø 5 to 10 years of professional Human Resource experience is required.
Ø Demonstrated experience in maintaining highest level of confidentiality and ethical behavior.
Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ø Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
Ø Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex and fast-paced environment.
Ø Must be a proven team player.
Physical Conditions/Requirements:
Ø Must be able to reason, analyze, prioritize, conceptualize, make judgments and solve problems.
Ø Position requires the ability to hear and communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
Ø Uses vision to view screens, create and review documents; requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ø Capable of using a keyboard effectively.
Ø Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and may occasionally lift and move 25 pounds.
Ø Moderate travel to meetings or outside training may be required.
This position is exempt. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Salary must be provided to be considered.
