Maintenance Mechanic Licensed – Pest Control POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, position is responsible for pest control for apartment complexes and grounds of complexes; requiring Certified Applicator license for general pest and ornament turf issued by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture. Perform pest control applications for apartment complexes and ground of complexes. Must have a full understanding of the combined pesticide law and rules for the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture. Makes estimates of material, time, and labor necessary to complete in house and ground pest control jobs. Performs preventive care regarding pest control for Tulsa Housing Authority’s grounds. Required to maintain and respond to communication devices (i.e., two way radio, pager, cell phone). Must have knowledge of types of pesticides and the purposes of those pesticides. Good knowledge of the safety requirements of the work performed including environmental violations. Perform other duties as required including those of a lower classification. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 1. A high school diploma or GED and 2. One (1) to three (3) years related experience in pest control. 3. Must be a Certified Applicator for general pest category and ornament turf with non-commercial license. 4.
