AMBULANCE MECHANIC - DIESEL

ASE Certification Preferred
Diagnose and repair autos and ambulances under minimal supervision. Duties include Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs, engines, fuel injection systems, diesel engines, on-board computer systems, emission control systems, air and hydraulic brake repairs, tire repairs, warranty procedures, driveline, steering & suspension, electrical trouble-shooting, AC, diagnostic services using electronic test equipment, assist other Technicians as needed and other duties as assigned. Must comply with all Safety and EPA procedures and continue to learn additional mechanical skills such as advanced diagnostics, internal engine and transmission repairs. Must be able to read codes and follow instructions on the computer and repair/training manuals and document repairs on the computer.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Must have a valid CDL and clean DMV report (copy MUST be submitted with application). Prefer 3 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including: A/C, power steering, hydraulic brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical. Must provide own hand tools. Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, holidays and on-call rotations for roadside assistance.
