We’re seeking a Senior Attorney in the oil and gas industry. Our client is in the natural gas transmission & storage business. This position will provide primary legal support on FERC gas matters. Key responsibilities for this position include providing legal advice and counsel on strategies to support growth projects in compliance with FERC policies, regulations and the companies’ tariffs; conducting complex contract drafting and negotiations in transactions with customers and prospective customers; drafting rate, tariff and certificate filings; drafting pleadings, testimony, discovery requests/responses; performing legal research and writing; drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various gas-related settlements and agreements; monitoring developments at FERC on gas matters of interest to or impacting NGTS pipelines, and advising clients accordingly; representing NGTS pipelines before or in interactions with the FERC, and other third parties; providing legal advice and counsel concerning the interpretation and application of the Natural Gas Act (NGA), FERC regulations, tariffs, on any FERC gas matter; and managing the work of outside counsel, where appropriate. QUALIFICATIONS: • Law degree • Law license • 10 years’ experience in FERC gas pipeline regulation practice • Knowledge of NGA regulations • Leadership experience Outstanding total rewards package and an excellent working environment.
