The primary responsibility of the Director involves developing and supervising all marketing activities and directing the marketing managers. Works under CEO and may work in tandem with an outsourced agency to develop sales forecasts, advertising, and promotional programs.
In addition, the individual is expected to work in tandem with other staff members and/or marketing representatives to provide a level of service that facilitates the establishment and maintenance of long-term relationships with referrers.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Management of the Radiology Marketing Managers at both the Anchorage and Valley locations
• Develop formalized marketing plan to achieve organizational strategy and goals
• Maintain current database of existing and potential clients
• Schedule and conduct educational presentations for physicians, businesses, and local community groups regarding radiology office services
• Assist in planning, coordinating, organizing and managing corporate participation in community sponsored events such as trade and health fairs, etc.
• Document all office visits, follow-up, phone calls and gifts
• Demonstrate ability to grow existing client list through scheduled appointments and “cold” calls on a routine basis
Successful applicant must exhibit the following:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work alone – self-motivated
• Ability to lead a sales team
• Computer skills such as database maintenance, report generating etc.
• Ability to maintain a working knowledge of current topics and trends in radiology
• Availability and willingness to travel locally
• Own a reliable vehicle and possess a current AK drivers license, be able to provide proof of current auto insurance, and a good driving record
• Compliancy with all personnel and safety policies and practices
Experience/Education
• Five to ten years sales/marketing support or public relations experience
• Previous management experience required
• Working knowledge of medical operation required
• BA/BS degree in Marketing or Business required; M.B.A. degree preferred
• Experience with marketing all modalities of imaging services preferred
