About the Position of Marketing Writer We are seeking a versatile individual that will work closely with management to develop innovative and persuasive marketing ideas and concepts. Candidate will translate technical information into compelling and persuasive copy for a wide range of deliverables, including products catalog, websites, direct mail, user interfaces, and web applications. The role spans the lifecycle of a project, from initial consultation and strategy to final proofing and quality assurance. This is a 1 year contract-to-hire position with a salary of $34-40K (commensurate with experience). The scheduled work hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday in our Wilmington, Delaware office. Essential Responsibilities: • Solid strategic thinker with excellent written and analytical skills to research, write, edit, and transform technical information into clear, persuasive marketing copy to motivate consumers • Participate in meetings with management on key product information and selling points • Opportunity to develop additional creative media projects including direct mail pieces, web pages and interactive applications, as well as various other media outlets • Desire to work independently in a small, personal entrepreneurial, flexible, yet fast-paced environment. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field • Must have very strong creative and conceptual skills • Ability and willingness to push creative expression while maintaining professionalism and brand identity • Understanding of marketing principles, branding, creative development and media to drive direct consumer response is a plus • Proficient in a Apple computer environment, and with Microsoft Word and Excel Application Process: To apply for the position, please submit your resume along with writing samples.
