The bookeeper/accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger for the organization and helping prepare financial statements. He/she will ensure that all assets, liabilities, revenue and expense accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis, and will be responsible for payroll accounts. He/she will process and bill clients on a monthly basis, prepare and submit bi-monthly payroll, and assist with annual budget preparation. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: -Review and enter monthly expenses -Review reconciliation of accounts payable and A/P aging schedules each month. -Prepare bank reconciliation -Prepare and submit tax forms and report to IRS -Update general bookeeping system -Acts as liaison with QuickBooks software vendor -Review monthly employee/contractor time sheets We are a busy, in-home, non-smoking office in Bethesda, MD, very near to DC and VA.
