The National Retina Institute (NRI), which provides sophisticated medical and surgical treatment for retinal disorders, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular holes, retinal detachments and retinal vascular disorders, is seeking a self-motivated, full-time, experienced OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN. NRI has several primary locations in Maryland, the DC metro area and Northern Virginia, as well as several satellite offices in Maryland and Virginia. This position is for the Chevy Chase, MD office. Job duties include updating medical history, medications and ocular history on exam forms; documenting complaints; checking CVF, EOM, pupil size and response; checking visual acuity; checking IOP; dilating of patients; performing ETDRS refractions; and other duties as needed.
