National organization specializing in educating healthcare providers about risk and patient safety seeks an accomplished writer/editor/manager to serve as Content Development Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and revise/edit material that:
o Deals with medical problems and/or clinical situations
o Is tailored to the needs and interests of intended healthcare provider audience
o Follows a logical progression
o Demonstrates balanced treatment of case presentation
o Conforms to firms style and format requirements for grammar, clarity and tone
o Meets firms launch commitment to clients
Research and prepare course materials for new development
Provide final "Quality Assurance" of online content
GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare word processing documents (multiple revisions to meet firms standards)
Data entry
Organize, manage and maintain computer folders
Proofread
Check spelling and grammar
Answer telephone inquiries
Manage voicemail inquiries
Provide support with travel arrangements, scheduling and other duties, as assigned
Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations
Update Contacts in Outlook, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Expertise in writing, editing and proofreading
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Project management skills
Attention to detail
Proven organizational skills
Ability to edit/write material involving complex medical-legal research finding
Ability to adapt to changing work priorities, perform multiple interrelated tasks
Ability to research case law on law database
Adept in use of web-based research site, e.g., medical dictionary, drug information, law dictionary, malpractice articles, etc.
Familiarity with HTML and other web-based platforms a plus
Computer proficiency skill must include expertise in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook with emphasis on use of graphs, tables, text boxes and macros
Offices are located in Rockville, Maryland. Bachelors Degree preferred, medical and/or legal background desired.
