The room includes space for a desk, full bedroom set, and full living room set. It has carpeting, tons of closet space -- including a 4' space for hanging clothes and shelves, as well as tons of storage space and storage shelves. The room also has a fireplace, although the landlord prefers that you do not use it for safety reasons. The bathroom in the downstairs suite was recently redone (finished in 2007) with brand new tiling, a custom shower with clear glass doors and a rainfall showerhead with super water pressure, a recently refinished vanity, and new fixtures. (The room is unfurnished, but the common areas of the house are fully furnished). This room comes with a reserved parking space that is located directly in front of the house. Community has pool, which is right in the back yard and passes are included with rent. Utilities are split between the 4 roommates and average around $100 each (which includes cable and internet). Location is about 5-10 minutes from the Shady Grove Metro and you can walk to Giant and Starbucks. Security Deposit is equal to one months rent. The landlord is great and the 3 other roommates are 20-something professionals. For the most part, everyone has busy schedules and aren't really home too much, but tend to keep to themselves when they are home.
