Join The Center for Sleep & Wake Disorders as a night shift sleep technologist trainee. We run an 11-bed sleep laboratory and are interested in training a bright and motivated post-grad to work nights as a sleep technologist running sleep studies for the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy and other sleep disorders. A two-year commitment is required as there is at least a 4 month training period. Good people skills are a prerequisite as you will need to learn to talk to your patient, help them relax in a potentially anxiety-provoking situation, affix monitoring equipment accurately and monitor throughout the night. This job cannot be combined with a day job. The schedule consists of 4 nights per week, 8 PM – 7 AM. If you are a true night owl, this may be a great opportunity for you.
