Metro area. Currently, KPL is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead with our Operations and Manufacturing teams. The Senior Manager of Manufacturing/Operations will direct the overall manufacturing process, which includes affinity purification of protein, antibody, protein conjugation, and production of liquid reagents. The position will report to the Chief Executive. Minimal required experience is MA + 10 years or PhD +7 years with a background in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or subspecialty there in, and 3+ year of manager-level experience in a regulated quality management setting. Experience with the FourthShift ERM system is a plus. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with protein separation by SEC, reverse-phase HPLC and/or affinity purification, as well as purification system maintenance. Demonstrated ability to select and develop staff. Strong leadership skills, ability to interact effectively with a wide range of customer demands as well as staff and peers. Able to exercise creative strategic thought yet be hands on with the day-to-day operations. Strong business skills in addition to technical competence is essential.
