The R&D Engineer is responsible for the development of new products and services, as well as modifications of existing products. S/he performs testing of various operating systems on new and old products and assists the operating system companies in the verification of our hardware with their software. This individual develops quality assurance testing procedures and equipment, and maintains test and debug logs to accurately record activities. This person also assists in the development of product test heads for quality assurance, and will serve as a technical resource to the Manufacturing Department. Project management and technical documentation are essential functions of this position. The following skills / experience are required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with emphasis in both hardware and software development Experience with Altium, Allegro, VHDL/Verilog FPGA, and high speed bus are highly desired Ten years of similar experience Extensive experience with Intel microprocessor-based systems Experience in the development of embedded control software using C/C++ languages Knowledge of recognized Engineering design practices and procedures Interest in industrial control technology Knowledge of current CAE/CAD tools including schematic capture, PLD design Design and debugging expertise Ability to act as team leader, mentor, manager of projects and people Excellent oral and written communication skills VersaLogic Corporation offers competitive wages, benefits and an exceptional work environment.
