Work with a coalition of concerned activists and organizations to promote a progressive agenda for the Pacific Northwest. Recent elections have given progressives a clear majority both locally and nationally, but our public officials are lagging behind their constituents, resisting change and at best hesitantly moving in the general direction of the left. Let's push them further. We're looking for motivated individuals to build, maintain, and mobilize a vast network of voters and non-profit organizations dedicated to moving the Northwest in new directions. This is a full time position and will require a great deal of field work, from organizing volunteer actions to making group presentations across the state. Applicants will be expected to travel for one to two weekends out of the month, so owning your own vehicle will be a plus. Prior experience in community organizing is preferred, but good communication and organizational skills are a must. Compensation will be in the range of $600-$750 per week, depending on experience.
