Hello!
My name is Dani. My landlady wants to move back into her house when my lease is up on August 14th, so my two dogs, cat, and I are looking for a new place to call home. Right now, I live in St. Johns in North Portland. I like North Portland, but am willing to consider any area that is relatively close to downtown (e.g. west of I-205) and near public transit.
My needs:
- private yard (5' fence or fence-able)
- cat & large dog-friendly
I am willing to pay a pet deposit for my two dogs and cat. All have been spayed or neutered and are over 3 years of age. No one sprays or marks, and all have been house-broken or box-trained for years.
I recently graduated with a master's degree in architecture from the University of Oregon (more about that on my website: http://iamdezigner.com), and am currently working as a supervisor for the federal government. I have excellent credit, and am looking to find a landlord who appreciates receiving his or her full rent on-time, every time. (I would buy my own home, but I owe too much in grad school loans to qualify for a mortgage. I would, however, consider a lease option or an owner-financed house to buy.)
I'm looking for a house or duplex with a private fenced yard for either just myself (e.g. an in-law unit in the $500/month range) or with housemates (e.g. a 3-bed 2-bath house for around $1100). The rent depends on the number of bedrooms & bathrooms. Ideally, it is close to public transit and no further from downtown Portland than I-205. Even better would be a place within walking distance of a grocery store and restaurants. (Though I do have a car, it's nice to not have to drive everywhere.)
Looking to start the lease/agreement anytime between August 1 and August 14. Am willing to consider any agreement term from month-to-month up to a year lease.
Thanks for your time and consideration. You're welcome to pass this ad along to anyone you know who is looking for a responsible tenant or an owner-financed buyer.
