Hello awesome Portlanders! I am moving on to new life adventures and I’m looking for someone to take over my part of the lease on an awesome 2 bedroom apartment in NE. The apartment is approx. 850 square feet, all hardwood floors, black & white tile in the bathroom and awesome vintage metal kitchen cabinets! It’s bright and sunny and has a great view overlooking the back end of the Rose City Golf Corse. Close to Trader Joes, a great breakfast & lunch place called the New Deal Café, within walking distance to two parks with dog areas, Alberta & Hollywood are both within close driving distance, Max is a ten minute walk and bus service is just a block away! Rent is $425 plus half of the utilities which run average of $45 when the gas heat has been turned off for summer. There is cable and high speed internet which the roommate pays for since I didn’t use either, so If interested you could pay half for that as well to have access to both. The room is on the smaller side but nicely fits a queen size bed with room to have a dresser or nightstand. Has a smallish/regular sized closet. My roommate has the larger of the two bedrooms but she is self contained with all her belongings and furniture, so although the room is small there is tons of extra space in the apartment to have a desk, sectional couch, living room furniture, work space in the living room or dining room area, which the dining room area has never been used to eat in! Lots of closet space and even a huge walk-in closet off the living room! I am the one moving out and I happen to have all of the furniture that furnishes the house, so if you have stuff to bring, there will be room, but if you happen to need furniture and would like it fully furnished, we can work something out. The apartment allows animals, cats and dogs, with only a few large dog breed restrictions. My roommate has no pets, I do but they are moving out with me so if you have animals, we would have would have to meet them first, but if you don’t have pets, that’s fine too! Move in date is flexible and only a small deposit (depending if you need furniture or not) and a $40 background/credit check through the managing company. No preference on race or eating habits, but ladies only please! About me: Steph, 24, tattooed female, artsy, love Shepard Fairey art, likes to paint, and enjoys decorating in black & red furniture. Have two cats and an awesome boxer puppy! My roommate (your future roommate! ) Karly- 24 female, Madras native, going to school to be a medical assistant, dedicated Starbucks employee, movie fan. Very busy lady and is out of the house a lot. If you need help fixing your hair or outfit suggestions she’s the gal to go to! Has a boyfriend that comes into town and visits occasionally. Please be aware, this home is a quiet and mellow sanctuary. We are not looking for someone who will throw parties, be drunk 24/7, dig through others personal stuff, only smokes outside and no drugs please. Adults who clean up after their selves and can pitch in to clean when needed without needing chore lists are ideal. Having friends visit is cool just as long as it stays mellow and drama free.
