DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Environmental: Ensure all federal/state/local permits are complied with and all reports are generated in a timely manner. Ensure safe work practices and procedures are observed. Plant Performance: Coordinate the daily activities of all mechanics and maintenance contractors in coordination with Plant Manager. Suggest new equipment and automated processes which will result in savings in cost and increasing production capacity. Management: Administer employee development and qualifications programs. Provides input to the plant training plan. Participates in interview and hiring process for plant personnel. Maintains records of various labor operations. Must be able to comply and keep administrative requirements current. Operations: Reviews and provides input to plant operating procedures. REQUIREMENTS Possess a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Have minimum of 5 years industrial experience with manufacturing processes. Demonstrated experience as supervisor of professional and technical staff. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Possess a professional Engineering license. Possess a Six Sigma black belt certification in Lean Manufacturing techniques, or similar training in a related educational discipline.
