POSITION SUMMARY Perform inspections and tests on incoming material to ensure that quality standards and process controls are being met throughout the suppliers manufacturing process. Generate the appropriate documentation, records, and reports. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Quality Assurance Inspector will: • Performs non-routine visual, mechanical, functional, dimensional or electrical inspection of a variety of products • Performs inspection tasks involving the use of a wide variety of test instruments and equipment to measure values and record functional operation of components • Determines acceptability, identifies and recommends disposition of defective items in accordance with established procedures. Place inspected material in assigned area. • Typical equipment includes micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, oscilloscope multi-meters, component testers and the like • Inspect parts and material for conformance to specified tolerances and quality standards. • Compliance with quality systems, customer and technical regulatory requirements. • Plan and perform daily work duties, inspections, and tests under the direction of Supervisor/Group Leader. • Use decision-making skills and judgment to verify that quality standards are continuously maintained. • Effectively works in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives. • Maintaining and updating QA records using windows-based software. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE The successful candidate will have the following experience or knowledge in the following areas: • Minimum qualifications: 2 years in electronic and mechanical inspection experience.
