Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the workforce. • Provide in-house project and process engineering support to maintenance and operations. • Utilize technology and troubleshooting skills to identify / propose improvements for system bottlenecks. • Assist the Maintenance department in short and long term maintenance and shut down planning. • Develop, manage and implement capital projects and major repairs and maintenance projects. • Coordinate and supervise work provided by contractors and vendors. • Assist the maintenance department to investigate and find the root cause of problems causing equipment failure and develop corrective solutions. • Function as a relief supervisor to assist with coverage for supervisory staff. • Perform on call¡duties on rotation with the management team. • Perform hands on activities in day-to-day plant environmental compliance issues and reporting. • Ensure that the highest standards are achieved in the areas of safety, environmental compliance and process efficiency and reliability. QUALIFICATIONS: • BS Degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • 3 to 5 years experience in lime or cement preferred; industrial environment required. Applicants with demonstrated maintenance supervisory experience would be preferred. • Must be an ambitious self starter able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Passionate in the pursuit of implementing process improvements. • Must be willing to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines or to ensure resolution of plant problems. • Strong computer skills. PLC programming and or JDE experience is a plus. • Basic financial management skills (analysis, budgeting and planning). • Proven success as a team leader and team member.
