Brief Description: The Milieu Manager is a staff member who is primarily responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment. This includes maintaining all safety issues, timely administration of medication (and/or facilitation of health issues), and completion of all shift documentation. They must work together with other clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure that ARCH is a treatment-conducive environment by using communication and teamwork. They must conduct safety drills and maintain documentation of such events. They provide intervention and behavioral management within program guidelines and under direction of the supervisory staff. The Milieu Manager adheres to the NAADAC code of ethics as well as the code of conduct for this agency. Qualified staff may be expected to facilitate groups. Milieu Manager will also be expected to participate in walks, hikes, and other moderately physical activities as scheduled. This position is guaranteed 40 hours a week, and has the full Volunteers of America, Alaska benefit package. Milieu Managers may attend Regional Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor Training as a benefit of their job, in order to increase competency and work towards Chemical Dependency Counselor certification. He/she maintains client confidentiality and safeguards client information in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR. The MM performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: 1.
