The Homestead Group, a not-for-profit agency that provides community support to people with developmental disabilities and their families has a part time position available in CHARLESTOWN providing Direct Support for a 8 year old male. ***Shifts are Saturday 4:30-7:30 pm and Sunday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm*** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Position Description: General Purpose: Provides direct behavioral treatment and family skills training by implementing the Home Based Therapeutic Support (H.B.T.S.) plan approved by The Department of Human Services. Position Summary: Provides direct behavioral therapy to individuals ages 3 to 21, role modeling/training to parents/families, and support to child and family by promoting individualized, person-centered, service delivery which meets all identified needs of the child & family. The professional provides assistance to the child with self-help & self-care as well as teaching of social & safety skills when applicable. Ongoing communication and data reporting to clinicians and coordinators regarding the approved program. **Must be 19 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent with a Minimum of TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE working with children with disabilities is required, may be partially substituted by relevant educational experience on a case by case basis** Location: CHARLESTOWN Compensation: $14.68 per hour This is a part-time job.
