THIS IS FINE but our agreement was that he was to KEEP the house clean and the laundry done for less rent of $245. Half of the rent (this is a two bedroom apartment in a 55+ apartment complex) is $325. You can either pay the $325 OR pay $245 and keep the apartment clean and the laundry done. If you pay the $325, I will use the $80 to pay someone to come in and do the housework and laundry. It is imperative that you be over 55 because after a two week "trial", your name will go on the lease - and therefore, you will have to provide a VALID current ID and proof of income. Myself? I am 61 and while it would be nice to find a roommate to maintain a clean apartment for less rent, it would be also be NICE to have a roommate who would play cards (mostly spades) with other residents or who would like to go to a show every now and then. Were looking to get a new roommate. I would like to move out and have someone take over the lease. The lease though does end in August of this year. Rent is only 300$ per month. The utilities are no more than 200$ per month and that would be split three ways. To get myself off of the lease you would have to apply and go through a credit check. The fee on that is 50$ and its nonrefundable. That would be done by the property management company. The house is a three bedroom two story with a good sized backyard.
