Entry Level Engineer The Cadmus Group, Inc. is seeking entry-level engineers for our Green Building practice with special interest in building sciences and operations. Candidates should have a background in mechanical, electrical, chemical, industrial, or civil engineering. Daily activities include reviewing standards and codes, creating and manipulating spreadsheets and databases, working with standard software packages to benchmark building energy use, offering technical support to organizations, and writing reports and other documents. Another key component of this position is working with LEED Accredited Professionals (AP) to review designs and operational practices in new and existing buildings for maximum sustainability. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver who is able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced consulting environment. Minimum requirements: • B.S. Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering • Interest in green building and sustainability • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proven analytical skills • Ability to work well independently and in teams • Basic knowledge of the five areas of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Rating System™, (subsequent training will be provided upon hire) Optional but desirable attributes: • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®)Accredited Professionals (LEED AP), Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional (CIAQ), CSDP, or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) accreditations This position is located in our Arlington, VA office.
