Registered Nurse The Arlandria Health Center (AHC), managed by Alexandria Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. (ANHSI) is a dynamic, mission-driven, federally qualified Community Health Center in the Arlandria area of Alexandria, Virginia. ANHSI seeks RNs for full-time positions in Primary Care. Responsibilities: Working together with physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants, nurses provide primary nursing care to men and women throughout the life cycle. Specific activities may include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Providing clinical/case management. 2. Assessing patients and planning and implementing care in collaboration with physicians and nurse practitioners. 3. Triaging patients. 4. Administering medications, immunizations and treatments as ordered by provider or as directed by protocol. 5. Providing patient education and health promotion and illness prevention counseling. 6. Assisting providers and patients during clinical sessions. Requirements: Nurses must be dedicated to the ANHSI mission of providing quality, comprehensive, affordable health care to all, regardless of ability to pay. Licensure as a registered nurse in Virginia or in a compact state is required. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Knowledge of primary health care, women’s health and/or perinatal health preferred.
