Local small business designs and manufactures communications electronics for military and public safety agencies. We’re looking for several students to fill critical roles in the company; training is provided. There are opportunities for growth and project ownership. Responsibilities Learn all about production. Help assemble final products Will learn to solder, use a drill press and other techniques used in manufacturing. A basic knowledge of handtools and willingness to work with your hands is preferred. Work with the purchasing and inventory manager to manage the flow of inventory items to the production department. Take charge “kitting” projects by using project material lists to create a complete package of items. Update information in inventory database. Work with the purchasing and inventory manager to update inventory. C-AT does weekly cycle counts of our parts inventory, where a selection of different items are counted and verified each week. Maintaining an accurate list of parts on hand is critical for production. Help create new database system based on inventory and material lists. Learn new workflow software and help to maintain it. Detail oriented is a must! Work directly with the President of the company and other administrative staff providing customer service, answering phones, tracking shipments and other projects. Hours C-AT is student friendly. We understand the demands of school work and request part-time employees work a minimum of 5 hours/week, with a minimum of 2 consecutive hours at a time. Doors are open 7 am – 5pm Monday – Friday with after hours for special projects. These positions are available for internship, work-study, part-time and full time, excellent for EE student.
