Title: Production Supervisor Department: Production
FLSA: Non-Exempt Reports to: GENERAL MANAGER
Purpose: Responsible for ALL bindery/mailing operations and copy production as needed. The goal of this position is to make sure all jobs flow productively and efficiently through our copy, bindery and mailing department while at the same time keeping close track on quality control. The second priority is to keep the bindery/mailing area clean and organized to help promote efficiency and safety.
Job Responsibilities (Supervise and/or initiate):
• Attend AM Production meetings at 9:15 AM.
• Operate and maintain bindery/mailing equipment as needed.
• Place marketing materials in each job and package professionally.
• Do final quality check on all jobs before boxing and delivering.
• Ship jobs using UPS and FEDEX as needed.
• Check in jobs that arrive from shippers and stage were needed.
• Maintain organization/appearance of entire production facility.
• Organize production area and gather all trash at the end of the day.
• Check in all paper when delivered. Notify vendor immediately if orders are not correct.
• Check ALL production schedules throughout the day to ensure they are on track.
• Responsible for scheduling all equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Prioritize production schedules for next business day.
• Meet with management team at 3:00 PM each day to report production status.
Knowledge, skills and ability:
• Minimum five years production experience.
• Some knowledge of all printing and mailing operations (knowledge of bindery equipment a plus).
• Must be quality conscience and organized and able to multi-task.
• Ability to be detail oriented and use good judgment.
• Ability to perform simple math with fractions.
• Ability to take direction, work independently and manage a production team.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
Qualifications:
• High School Education
Working Conditions:
• Must be able to tolerate loud noises. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
