We have an immediate need for several individuals to assist us in conducting secondary research on a variety of topics related to the biological sciences. A number of administrative tasks are associated with these temporary positions including preparation of mail lists and maintenance of databases. Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, imagination, a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and excellent research skills. Requirements: Possess, or are working toward, a degree in biology or related life science discipline Sound grasp of biological terminology and basic laboratory techniques Familiarity with PubMed and similar databases Ability to create an efficient information search strategy Obsessive attention to detail Ability to work not less than 20 hours per week Comfortable working with Macintosh computers Experienced with Microsoft Excel Eligible to work in the U.S. Our ideal candidate will also possess basic knowledge of HTML and SQL queries. All work will be performed during normal working hours onsite at our metro-accessible offices in Arlington, VA. Hourly rate will be $10.
