Who: A fun, dynamic, award-winning software development company What: Sharepoint/MOSS 2007 Administrator When: How about today? Where: Reston, VA Why: We have interesting work on one of the largest SharePoint deployments in the country. You’re probably sick of boring job postings comprised of ridiculous “must have” requirements. Not to mention the endless calls from “technical” recruiters offering up amazing opportunities? Likewise, we’ve learned that posting generic job descriptions and waiting for the perfect candidate to magically come along isn’t a good strategy. Our belief is that if you cannot envision yourself working here, then you’ll never apply. Rather than rattling off the laundry list of what we need, we’d rather tell you who we are. Then you can decide if this is a good fit for you. We spend most of our day building very complex software solutions for a myriad of customers that we like. They like us too-- we’re smart, results-driven, responsive, and we don’t make our clients jump through hoops to get something done. We don’t have to answer to outside investors or The Street, so we get to pick our projects – projects that make a difference. We all get to work on a variety of the latest Microsoft based technologies. We’re an award winning Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. The newest plaque in the lobby is a 2008 Award for Customer Service and Customer Experience. We are proud of this recognition! The work is challenging and difficult, but it doesn’t consume our lives. We don’t want anyone working 50+ hours weeks… regardless of dedication, they will burn out eventually. We’re profitable… not Microsoft profitable, but profitable nonetheless. We don’t have outside investors, so we’re not running investment and lines of credit, and there are no foreseeable plans to sell the company to the highest bidder. We like the autonomy. We have little room for big egos or self-entitlement; we believe that the transfer of knowledge is a two-way street. If our junior staff know something that others on our team do not, we expect them educate the rest of us. Hence learning is an ongoing and evolutionary process and we’re all in it together. We’re a team. We’re honest with each other. We talk openly about both our successes and failures. Decisions are made in-house by team members affected by those decisions. We like what we’re building here and are having fun in the process. Like everyone else, we only want to hire top performers. For this position, a top performer is a experienced SharePoint Administrator with a strong sense of achievement and self autonomy. It’s important that they have enough confidence and professionalism to meet with our clients. Some qualifications include: • Experience administering SharePoint group and user management within an Active Directory hierarchy. • Experience investigating and resolving large scale SharePoint performance issues: Front End web server performance, indexing performance, SQL performance. • Ideal candidates will have experience managing large multi-tiered SharePoint farms. • Experience doing large scale migrations, or other large scale infrastructure projects.
