Oversee Claim Department operations for a health plan with Medicaid and Medicare lines of business. This position holds overall responsibility for the claims processing function including timely and accurate claims processing, supervision and training of staff, tracking and resolution of claims issues, development of policies and procedures, claims validation and auditing, compliance with regulations, and monitoring of departmental performance standards, goals and budget. Minimum of five years claims processing background. Expertise/knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and COB claims processing rules. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
